Philosophy

Our core beliefs

'Keep it simple, stupid'. Yeah, we know someone more famous has said this already and we praise them for doing it, but we were adhering to the KISS philosophy before the acronym was created. Successful software projects must be simple, flexible, and inexpensive. Keeping it simple promotes flexibility, focus, and straightforward communication. Complex rules, on the other hand, create complex behavior and complex communication, i.e. dumb behavior. We believe this is a key component to successful software development.

We also believe in small development teams which make it easier to provide flexible, cheaper, and faster solutions to our clients, saving them time and money. Anyone who knows anything about software development will tell you this is a keystone to successful projects.

If you're intrigued or don't believe in our philosophy, we recommend you take some time to read " Foundations of Complex-system Theories: In Economics, Evolutionary Biology, and Statistical Physics " by Sunny Y. Auyang and prove us wrong.

Our experience

We have over 15 years of experience in both the commercial and academic sectors creating software for internet startups, cyberinfrastructures, university research labs, Fortune 500 clients, and government entities.

We are experts in our field, consistently delivering novel and successful solutions on-time for all of our customers. We will happily provide you with any references you might need.

'The really significant thing about emergence (and Complex Systems in general) is that it forces us to abandon the assumption that complex behaviours must arise from complex rules.' -- Keith Braithwaite
