ChalkLabs was invited by Elsevier to build an application for a new portal they had just gotten off the ground. SciOptics combines a novel semantic search capability plus federated search across Elsevier’s very large ScienceDirect collection enabling users to find the most relevant articles for their query. Overcoming traditional keyword and synonymy problems, SciOptics also provides a novel 2D visualization search engine that allows for high-speed, intuitive discovery of related documents.
