Marty Donnelly

Marty is ChalkLabs Chief Operating Officer. In a former life, Marty spent 25 years at both CitiGroup and American Express as senior IT Operations and Financial Services executive. At Citibank, he managed the outsourcing and regionalization for Citibank’s Global Finance sector. At American Express Bank (AEB), Marty was Global head of Technology and Operations responsible for 2000+ employees in 38 countries. Prior to joining ChalkLabs, Marty served as the regional director for South Central Indiana’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), chief executive for Inventure, and SEED Corporation in Bloomington, IN. Prior to SDBC, Marty was Director of Information Systems Graduate Programs and Graduate Accounting Programs at the Kelly School of Business, Indiana University.

Bruce Herr

Bruce has been making beautiful, extensible, usable, and maintainable software for the last eight years. With over 10 publications and numerous workshop presentations, Bruce’s research interests encompass information visualization, human-computer interaction, software design, aesthetics in visualization, and extensible software. Some of the major software projects he has led and worked on include InfoVis Cyberinfrastructure, CIShell: Cyberinfrastructure Shell, and Network Workbench. He has created many large-scale and interactive visualizations including NIH Map, Movies&Actors, Wikipedia Visualization, Neurovis, and the US Patent Hierarchy Vis.

Chief Executive Officer & Founder
Gavin LaRowe

Gavin has over 17 years of experience in both industry and academic sectors as a senior developer, technical lead, OpenSource systems integration expert, and consultant. He holds a M.Sc. from Indiana University with a focus on large-scale information retrieval, network science, and natural language processing in East Asian languages. Mr. LaRowe is also a former SAIS advanced studies fellow.
